Matt Tiegler - Actor and Playwright

Matt's play "Damage Control" premiered in February 2004.

Previews ran from January 28 – February 1, 2004, and the play had its regular run from February 4 – March 27, 2004.

The plot: A North Shore family attempts to save face when their son drops out of college by staging a "Special Announcement Party" in hopes of hiding the truth with a less embarrassing cover story. That sets off an hilarious cascade of cover-ups with characters trying desperately to juggle, until they finally discover a truth far more important than the one they originally set out to hide.

Matt was an original cast member and performed in the Noble Fool's completely improvised double-header, "The Baritones" and "Sex in the Suburbs," which received a "Critics Choice" in the Chicago Reader.

Matt was proud to direct and co-produce the political parody "Mock The Vote" at the Theatre Building Chicago in October of 2004. "Mock the Vote" was the inagural production of Slobodie Productions.
