Improv for Realtors

There are two sides of being a real estate broker:

1)  Doing the job.  2) Finding and building the business.

Most brokers build their business very slowly over the course of years because brokers work alone and don't have much opportunity to learn from other brokers.  IFR is like a laboratory where you can practice techniques in a safe environment before trying them on actual clients and prospects.

What holds most brokers back is . . .  Fear!  Fear of prospecting, fear or asking for business, fear of the unknown.  Improv is about learning to trust yourself.  You won't know what you're capable of until you try.

Over the past 12 years, I have coached and trained brokers of every type.  Some were on the verge of quitting because they couldn't get themselves to interact with people.  Others were extremely good talkers but didn't know how to actively listen.
Courage is a powerful tool in business.  Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the habit of acting despite the fear.
